Commercial Banking (CB) is a key areas of the Group and it supports its clients through the provision of core banking products such as lending, deposits and transaction banking services.

Further to that CB provides a full range of banking products, so that we can meet the varying and often complex needs of our clients across Mid Markets, Capital Markets, front and back offices.

MI Services is an integral part of Commercial Banking. It's primary purpose is to deliver value for money whilst improving the quality and delivery of management information (MI) across CB.

Their goal is to ensure that our internal customers receive an efficient, client-focused and easy-to-deal with specialist support unit that produces their MI.

They develop and support a wide range of end user applications and MI solutions for CB - particularly in operational and support areas - helping teams within CB to manage their important processes, client focused activity, and/or business performance.

Many of the solutions are considered 'business critical' by their owners and the team work closely with colleagues support and upgrade existing tools/applications as well as develop new solutions to meet the needs of our stakeholders.

You'll be working closely with the business areas to define requirements, produce prototype applications and reports - testing these through to release.

The interface CB uses to core banking systems that hold client information is based on MS Access so you'll need and in depth knowledge of the MS Office technologies - development of MS Access 2003/10 using VBA.

You'll the database links to Oracle therefore some basic experience in SQL - linking tables to SQL server etc would be essential.

The team operate a shift working pattern on rotation with occasional Saturday work but has a generous shift allowance scheme in place.
