Nuffield Health are currently seeking a permanent full time IT Project Management Office (PMO) Lead to join the IT team in their flagship Head Office, based in Epsom, Surrey.

The PMO Lead will maintain the standards of project management and processes by standardising and introducing economies of repetition in the execution of projects. The PMO lead will act as the source of documentation, guidance and metrics on the practice of project management and execution. The role will also require assisting and advising managers and teams on the best use of project management disciplines and approaches and act as the first point of contact for any program management queries.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

*Provide governance and control a group of 10 - 15 IT Project Managers - keeping them on track and reporting on any missed deadlines and/or support escalation

*Develop an IT demand pipeline so the team can plan resources effectively

*Categorise projects by risk, size and value to ensure the right artefacts are created and that the processes are applied in a practical way

*Maintain processes to ensure project management documentation, reports and plans are relevant, accurate and complete.

*Track and report on project portfolio performance, providing a real-time, comprehensive and prioritized view of all projects

*Understand the deliverables of internal and external PMO customers and contribute to success through cooperative and collegial processes

*Create a Centre of Excellence to provide guidance and coaching on how the business runs projects

*Successful administration of project management framework, processes and tools

*Collation of status reporting across multiple projects

*Effective tracking and communication of project status and metrics

*Support the creation and improvement of processes, procedures, and tools

The PMO lead will also be responsible for managing three key interactions and relationships within the department:

*Build a demand pipeline with the IT Business Partnership team

*Monitor and govern change projects within Solution Delivery (Project Delivery)

*Ensuring BAU is consulted on all projects (Technical Operations / Service Delivery)

As well as an ability to work to work to targets and deadlines, the successful individual will possess the following skills, qualifications and experience:

*Relevant tertiary qualification (educated to Degree level, or equivalent)

*Proven PMO/Project Analyst or Coordinator experience and knowledge of project management

*Understanding of the principles and frameworks of successful project management

*Proven experience in providing service to internal stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes

*A relevant Project Management qualification (e.g. PRINCE 2, PMP, CAPM, etc) would be desirable

*Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
