The Property and Projects business unit at Haringey Council is looking to recruit a Senior Project Manager with a background in Construction for the management of project delivery within Haringey Councils project delivery Team.
This is a chance to work on various high profile public sector programmes and portfolio of projects to support the council's strategic direction, guided by our vision of: 'One Borough, One Future'.
These programmes include Tottenham Regeneration; Education Pupil Places; Housing; Public realm; and various commercial, community, operational and education property related development and condition projects.
The Senior Project Manager will play a vital role in managing significant, large and complex projects and assisting the team lead in ensuring that they are delivered successfully to the pre-defined success criteria. The Senior Project Manager will hold supervisory responsibilities for other members of the project delivery team.
You should be an experienced project manager with leadership skills to deliver construction related projects that will realise value for money objectives.
You should also be a competent manager of people and resources with a track record of delivering complex construction related projects and you must have excellent interpersonal skills and business acumen with the ability to work productively with council members, colleagues, contractors, clients, stakeholders, and local residents to deliver key capital construction related projects.
You should have experience of working in a large multi-functional organisation or business within either the public or private sector, in a development or construction related field.
You will need to be proactive, assisting the team head to manage, monitor and operate the project delivery team. You will need to prioritise your workload based on a well thought through project plan and be able to work with a variety of stakeholders to ensure that delivery occurs on time and to budget.
