O2 Unify offers customers one single consolidated provider for all their IT and communications needs. Through O2 Unify customers can optimise their voice and data networks and prepare to face new challenges.
Telefonica UK has recently developed a core MPLS platform, based on our extensive broadband experience, to carry business customer IP services without so much reliance on onward selling other operator networks.
Your Role
As Network Engineer you'll be responsible for the configuration of customer services over the new O2 Gateway network. You'll be the expert in charge of our systems, processes, and databases which allow us to provide, maintain, and apply changes to our Managed WAN product capability.
Responsibilities
-The creation of CPE configurations, deployment of Alcatel Lucent SAM scripts and managing broadband access
-Testing of customer solutions with project/field engineering
-Configuration of the Ethernet and Broadband networks as required for BT Order Management, managing configurations for technical solutions on O2 Gateway
-The handover into live service of supportable customer networks
Demonstrable Experience
-Demonstrable experience in a technical role, ideally in a managed services IP network configuration environment, preferable in an Alcatel-Lucent environment
-Understanding of Ethernet and Broadband technology
-Experience in deploying and testing technical solutions
-Sound knowledge of Cisco, Juniper (CCNP is desirable)
-Knowledge of Core IP networks and the provision of corporate customer service over them
