HMGCC designs and develops innovative communications systems, specifically for HM Government use in the UK and all over the world. You'll get to develop, test, deploy and maintain software solutions that solve real, and often unique, technical problems. To join us you need to have, or be expecting, at least a 2:1 BSc/BEng degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering (or other science/technology or engineering related discipline). We'll be also looking for good debugging, diagnostics and problem solving skills, together with a sound understanding of good design principles and coding practices.

In terms of languages, Java programming knowledge is a must. C/C++ and scripting skills such as Perl or Python are useful extras, but not essential. Experience with the Eclipse IDE for Linux or Android Development Tools is beneficial too, but not a must-have.
