Test your talents from the very start of your career

At the start of your programming career, you need exposure to challenging projects, cutting-edge technologies and daily learning opportunities. You'll find it all, and more, at HMGCC.

HMGCC designs and develops innovative communications systems, specifically for HM Government use in the UK and all over the world. We're always looking to push technology forward - our graduates have a vital role in tackling the new challenges we face on a daily basis. That means you could soon be building your expertise on some of the most important, interesting projects around.

You'll get to develop, test, deploy and maintain software solutions that solve real, and often unique, technical problems.

Rest assured, you'll receive all the support you need to develop the required skills. We'll invest heavily in you through technical training programmes and professional accreditation, complemented by mentoring and on-the-job development. It's our aim to create the best possible learning environment for graduates like you who are eager to learn and take on more responsibility.

Programming-wise, the role calls for either C, C++, C# or Java skills. However, it's your debugging, diagnostics and problem solving ability that really interest us, together with your understanding of good design principles and coding practices.

It is vital that you have, or expect, at least a 2.1 BSc/BEng degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering (or other science/technology or engineering related discipline). We'll also be impressed if you have experience of Visual Studio and developing for the Windows Platform, although this is by no means essential.

In return for your contribution, you can look forward to a great rewards package and a welcoming, modern workplace, complete with a restaurant, sports facilities and nursery.
