Project management at GCHQ offers you an exciting opportunity to lead a unique range projects that enable us to combat a variety of cyber threats and protect the UK.

Your role

We're a project-led business and the nature of our work means you'll contribute to a variety of projects you won't find anywhere else. The cyber threats we deal with are always evolving, so our projects are constantly changing. They range from highly complex technical projects to work that enables business improvement and change. In fact, it's unlikely that you'll lead the same kind of project more than once.

Working with customers across GCHQ, you could help to provide signals intelligence, understand threats to the UK, exploit opportunities in cyber space, or support our role as the UK's National Technical Authority for Information Assurance. It's an exciting and stimulating environment that will genuinely challenge and develop your project management skills.

What you'll need

We're looking for people with experience of managing projects using a structured methodology (ideally PRINCE2), through the entire lifecycle from planning to implementation. A motivational leader and articulate communicator, you'll be used to leading a variety of projects to meet the needs of a range of stakeholders. With experience of developing accurate requirement specifications, you'll also be comfortable making a business case and managing project finances.
