Web Designer - Lake District Technology Provider

£23,000 to £28,000 + Company Stake Holder Pension Plan + Amazing Views

The Web Designer Opportunity:

We are an established IT and Website Development Company nestled in the heart of the Lake District.

We are searching for a website designer with passion and enthusiasm to work within our existing team based in our Keswick office.

The ideal candidate will have a good eye for design, be able to take the initiative on their own, excited to learn new skills and experiment as the industry continues to evolve.

Web Designer Primary Responsibilities:

> Take design briefs from clients and produce quotations.

> Produce brilliant design visuals, including sketches, wireframes and design concepts.

> Convert design concepts into working websites using clean hand-written code.

> Handle customer support queries related to websites.

Web Designer Required Skills and Experience:

Required:

> Portfolio of work, or links to existing websites, as proof of your abilities.

> Ability to learn new skills and experiment with technologies.

> Good communication skills: face-to-face, telephone and email.

> A knowledge of current HTML and CSS standards.

> Able to use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator or similar design packages.

Desirable:

> Responsive Website Design - focusing on mobile devices.

> Resolving cross browser design issues (you know, that IE thing).

> Email marketing - using MailChimp or similar systems.

> Social networking, primarily Twitter and Facebook.

> Search Engine Optimisation (SEO).

> PHP or other programming languages.

> JavaScript frameworks such as jQuery.

> Linux hosting solutions.

> Logo and brand design.

> Graphic design: brochures, business cards, leaflets and posters.

> Photography.

> Copywriting.

Full time 9.00am - 5.30pm Monday - Friday

Salary negotiable depending on experience.
