It all means that data analysis, data reporting and business intelligence needs to play a vital part in what we do, and in this key role you’ll model and analyse aviation industry trends to make sure we maintain our competitive edge in the market.

Working closely with the Strategic Planning Manager within a market research and data source budget of around £200k, you’ll focus on driving forward and improving our overall commercial strategy as we increase our business and industry knowledge and intelligence.

On a day to day basis, you’ll design queries and reports in response to fast-changing business needs, customer demands, the development of new airline routes, and other ad hoc internal and external triggers, as you support senior level strategic decisions with statistical and geographical data analysis.

You’ll also need to develop and manage our own internal information, market intelligence and route information library, which means a knowledge of network planning and at least 5-8 years’ expertise gained in aviation intelligence is vital.

Ideally, you’ll have a relevant degree, but what’s more important are excellent data manipulation skills and experience of introducing and developing new analytical tools and techniques into a similar complex business.
