In this key role reporting to the Voice Core Principal Test Engineer, you’ll support the testing and delivery of all new voice solutions into the network. Business wise, it means creating various high quality test plans in line with the commercial goals of the business. From a technical perspective that means working with design teams, project managers and our external partners to drive actions plans, resolve test failures and ensure the service remains uninterrupted throughout all changes - understanding and managing the technical development roadmap at every stage. Succeed in this fast-paced role and you’ll have a big impact on important decisions in a vital area of the business.

An experienced engineer from a similar telecoms or vendor background, you’ll have knowledge of the 3G voice core network and have delivered successful test plans from initial design to full operational handover. A good understanding of signalling, call flows and IP protocols are essential. As are strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills. In addition to that you’ll have the resilience, the character and the skills to build relationships with all levels of people - managing expectations and successfully liaising right across the business.
