There is an excellent opportunity for an Oracle database developer to join the team responsible for maintaining and developing our Intelligent Finance and St. James' Place Bank platforms , within Lloyds Banking Group.

It's a small personable team who pride themselves on their team spirit and collaborative working style as they develop technical solutions aligned to the platform area.

With a small team there's a larger proportion of autonomy than in some roles - you'll be able to make key decisions with some freedom around design and coding within what is quite a substantial platform.

This role is primarily working in the back-end oracle database and will require a good understanding of PL/SQL coding in order to write procedures and views. You'll also need to know about shell or Unix scripting.

We'd also benefit from anyone who has experience of Tivoli Workflow Scheduler as the work supports the batch teams and it would also be advantageous to have Java or J2EE experience or "Connect Direct" but these aren't essential elements unlike the scripting and coding skills.

The team is a 24/7 operation and therefore there will be some call outs and out of hours working (approx 1 week in 5) but these are generously recompensed.
