Over the past twelve months, Ombudsman Services has been experiencing extraordinary growth and transformation as we continue to respond to an increase in case numbers within our existing business. We are also preparing the business to respond to the exciting opportunities for further growth presented by the European Union Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Directive where we aspire to make ADR services available for all sales and service contracts between businesses and the consumer.

As part of our ongoing growth programme, we are now looking to identify an accomplished Project Manager to support the Programme Director. This is an exciting new post within the organisation with the remit of taking on the ownership and management of projects within the Growth Programme, enabling the programme leads apply appropriate controls and governance whilst contributing to the successful achievement of the required projects.

What will the role involve?

-Effective application of appropriate methodologies to projects and initiatives within the specified workstream

-Ensuring the accurate planning and co-ordination of projects

-To ensure effective risk management within projects along with the management of any associated activities

-To identify any potential risks and effectively manage appropriate mitigation

-Develop and maintain schedules of work and plans for key projects and initiatives

-To ensure all activities are handled within budget

-To deputise for the Programme Director where necessary

-To ensure accurate collation of information & timely reporting of data

What are we looking for?

-Demonstrable experience in a project management role, preferably with exposure to a range of different business contexts (i.e. process, change and/or property)

-Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of appropriate methodologies and project frameworks

-Excellent communication skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.

-Excellent resource management skills with the ability to effectively plan and prioritise your own workload

-Demonstrable problem solving skills

-Excellent presentation skills with ability to tailor your style to suit a varied audience.

This is an overview of the key requirements of the role, however as the organisation continues to grow, the role and team will continue to transform.

Whilst we envisage the role will predominantly be based in our new state of the art offices in Daresbury, Warrington, there may be the requirement for occasional travel in line with appropriate project and wider business requirements
