Join the Vodafone IT team as a Senior Project Manager and you can look forward to a relaxed culture, truly flexible working and exceptional development opportunities within IT and beyond. That’s because you’ll be pivotal to the success of the business, acting as a catalyst of change, as we pioneer new products, new services and completely new ways of doing things.

You’ll take responsibility for defining and delivering a variety of projects of all shapes and sizes that will make a big impact on our business. Making your mark on the future of Vodafone, you’ll join a growing team that’s passionate about helping us to continue to set the pace in a fast-changing market.

The Senior Project Manager role

Your focus will be on delivering diverse projects on time and on budget. You’ll drive multi-million pound projects that impact on a number of different technical systems, involve constrained resource teams and incorporate significant business change or transformation elements. In other words, this is going to be the kind of challenge that will stretch your skills. If you show passion, determination and real talent, it will also open up lots of doors across Vodafone.

On a day-to-day basis, you’ll need to look for ways to drive improvements to supplier delivery, manage stakeholder engagement and constantly re-evaluate costs against benefits throughout the project lifecycle. We’ll also be expecting you to inject a sense of fun and to instil a strong team ethos - you’ll lead from the front, creating a shared sense of purpose, providing solid support and making sure the communication channels are always wide open.

About you

A skilled and experienced project manager, you’ll have worked in an area like retail transformation, business improvement and fraud prevention or in a more technical field such as mPay, Big Data, OSS or 4G. You should also have experience in the full systems development lifecycle, from requirements gathering through to design. Outstanding leadership skills and an impressive track record of organisational change will be essential, as you play a pivotal role at the start of a new journey.
