Location: Glasgow or Bristol

An opportunity for a Business Object Developer to join our dedicated MI Services team within our Commercial Banking division which is responsible for supporting clients through the provision of core banking products, such as lending, deposits and transaction banking services.

MI Services vision is to deliver value for money whilst improving the quality and delivery of management information (MI) across Commercial Banking. Our goal is to ensure that the consumers of MI our customers feel a step change in the delivery of their MI by being an efficient, client focused and easy-to-deal with specialist support unit, fully aligned to the Commercial Banking client centric approach.

As a Business Object Developer, you will be working closely with the business areas to define requirements, produce prototypes, test and deliver reporting through to final release. We are responsible for the development and support of a wide range of MI Solutions . We help teams within Commercial Banking to manage their important processes, client focused activity, and business performance. This role will involve working closely with colleagues in this high profile team to support and upgrade existing reporting solutions as well as develop new reporting solutions to meet the needs of our stakeholders.

What we are looking for?

We'd like you to have experience with much of the following, but are eager to take on individuals who are fast learners; ideally you will be able to demonstrate some or all of the following:

- Excellent knowledge of SAP Business Objects platform and of MS Office technologies (particularly MS Access/Excel) as well as SQL.

- Business Objects BI4.0/XIR3/ XIR2/ v5, 6, 4

- Oracle 8/9/10g, MS SQL Server 2005/ 2008, Informix

- Database Design methodology

- Data modelling and ETL

- Datawarehousing, SQL (Oracle, MS SQL Server, Netezza) & Dashboards

- Crystal Reports XIR2- Report development, QaaWS

Excellent communication skills and previous experience in a similar environment.

Background in Financial Services a great advantage but not essential.
