About the Team

NMC IP WIFI- The eyes and ears of the IP Network monitoring and fixing the core of WIFI, the main hub and heartbeat of the network that the key services traverse. A 24x7x365 operation providing 1st / 2nd line support.

Your Role

With your technical expertise, you’ll be working as part of a shift based team, responsible for providing 1stand 2nd line support in the NOC environment. You will also have a chance to contribute in the design, build and OSS systems.

In this role you have the opportunity to work on a number of exciting technologies such as; IP network, Security, Load balancing and Linux / Unix infrastructure, no day will be the same!

Responsibilities

Monitoring and fixing live operational events. Raising trouble tickets and resolving faults where possible Managing the escalation process where required Operational Readiness Testing and providing support for the project from build through to live operations Debugging faults and proposing design changes that would benefit the team and O2 Provide training and mentoring to other members of the team

Demonstrable Experience

Ideally experience working in either a Telecoms or Managed Service Provider Demonstrable practical network experience Experience with Cisco/Juniper/Checkpoint Operational acceptance and Operational readiness testing for various nodes WAN, LAN, WLAN will be required. IP knowledge (Cisco Certified CCNA and CCNP/CCIP) strong emphasis on routing and Broadband. Venue capacity management including: IP ranges, DSL/connectivity capacity, AP capacity The ability to speak technical with a non-technical audience
