Your Challenge:

To have the overall responsibilty for the timely,quality and within budget delivery of the Airwave Service to customers as contracted. Leading a test team to conduct VV&T (validiation, verfication and testing) activities with the Delivery Projectect Managers, providing coaching an support and ensuring the latest methods and best practice are used at all times.

Your Role:

- As IP Network Engineer, you will act as test lead - scoping, planning and managing the conducting of test activities

- You will direct and co-ordinate virtual teams and manage local test schedules

- You will need to ensure that customer acceptance is achieved

- You will need to identify, mitigate and if necessary escalate business and programme risks

- You will help resolve test issues relative to contract fulfilment

- You will manage the reporting, investigation and rectification of test defects using industry standard tools

- You will define, design, develop, document and execute test documentation for the IP network engineering in mobile communications

- You will be responsible for the programming and configuration of systems, applications and devices

- You will generate technical and management reports for programme/project managers and external customers

About You:

- You will have a strong working knowledge of IP networks

- CCNA or equivalent experience

- You will have previous experience in test team management within an IP network engineering/mobile communications, Tetra or general telecommunications environment

- You will have a sound understanding of customer operations, including presenting to and negotiating with end-users and suppliers

- You will have a strong working knowledge of IP networks

- You should have experience in being a team leader along with familiarity with industry standard test tools for both recording and automation

- Qualified in test practises (i.e. ISEB,ITSQB)

- A Prince2 qualification would be desirable

- You will be educated to a Degree, equivalent academic level or have experience in this field of work
