A brand new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Release Manager* to join our Digital team. *Internally this role is called a Release Lead.

As the Digital Release Manager, you will own the Release Management lifecycle including environment management, scheduling, coordinating with internal and external teams and stakeholder communications. The releases can be inclusive of application updates, operating system patches, security improvements, hardware upgrades, projects and programmes as well as weekly business as usual change.

You will be responsible for implementing and managing release processes for the progression of code in the development, test, and production environments. Working collaboratively with all participants in software development projects and being supportive of engineers, developers and testers as you set up your build dev/test environments. This position also works with IT management to improve the software engineering processes and practices associated with continuously building, deploying, and updating software and environments.

The role is also responsible for building the Digital Release Calendar through working closely with the web developers and stakeholders from different portfolios across the business and centralising view of all releases. The Release Manager leads the effort of defining the Digital strategic direction for release management, including relevant tools for teams to ensure the process requirements of release management relevant and fit for purpose.

If you are have experience working in a release and/or project management (Prince II) along with excellent IT skills including information systems operations environment, systems analysis or development along with .Net, MS SQL and Web Services Development then we would love to hear from you.
