Lead programmes through partnerships that will shape Norfolk’s future

This exciting role is a challenging opportunity to play a major part in achieving our goals. As an ambitious, persuasive and influential leader with a commitment to collaboration, it is also the chance to realise every facet of your own potential.

There will be two keys to your success - excellent programme management skills and the ability to thrive as a senior manager in a political environment. Leading a multi-disciplinary team, you will spearhead the delivery of integrated planning policy and transport strategy services across Norfolk. With a programme of high profile infrastructure projects, your team will be at the heart of delivering the growth agenda for the county. You’ll also lead support for the Greater Norwich Growth Board and Greater Norwich Infrastructure Delivery Board, comprising senior leaders from local authorities.

While you’ll be a pivotal player within Norfolk County Council’s Economic Development and Strategy Services, yours is not a County Council-centric role. Challenging, persuasive and resilient, you will make change happen by working in partnership with elected leaders and senior officers across Norwich City, Broadland, South Norfolk, Norfolk County Council and New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership.

To be equal to the challenge, you must demonstrate proven experience of managing complex partnerships and programmes. Crucially, you will combine impressive drive and ambition with considerable confidence, conviction and integrity. Our significant targets can only be achieved by senior people working together across authorities and political agendas. For this reason, it is essential that you bring to the role a highly developed ability to build and maintain influential relationships.
