For our office in Kitt Green, UK we are looking for a European Assistant Project Manager. This role is critical to the development and implementation of marketing and supply chain strategies with a primary responsibility for the implementation of category projects as well as leading/supporting related feasibility activities. The Assistant Project Manager has to work closely with a cross-functional team consisting of Marketing, R&D, S&OP, Operations, PMO etc and have regular consultation to create an optimal mix between Project Management and Commercial / Operations responsibilities and deliverables. He/She must have strong competences supporting the development of influencing skills and be able to manage key stakeholders at all levels.

- DRIVE.the execution of projects that maximise volume, profit and brand health for the category.

- APPLY and in conjunction with the PMO, strive to continuously improve company Project Management Processes and procedures eg ItE, FEL, NOD etc

- OWN the overview of all their projects and communicate with the Business and the PMO category lead.

- ENGAGE necessary resources and effectively manage them in order to execute projects effectively. (Resources include people and financial)

- LEAD Project team and engage Commercial and Technical stakeholders to ensure efficient running of team

- LEAD Project end to end, to drive implementation through the Value Chain with timely & excellent execution

- RESPONSIBLE for timely and accurate submission as required by the HJH project processes including for example, project plans, gate documents, reports etc.

- ACCOUNTABLE for the project execution on time and in full to budget ( OTIF)

- IDENTIFY new ideas to deliver category strategies, submit to process as appropriate.

- MANAGE across a rolling 12 month time frame & manage project plans extending for a longer period of time

- ACCOUNTABLE for decisions on individual projects of around $1m and in conjunction with category lead for projects exceeding $1m.

- ACTIVELY drive personal, team and functional capabilities

Job Requirements

- Graduate /MBA from a related discipline or at least 3 years related experience and a track record of delivering in businesses with both Commercial and Manufacturing functions.

- A combination of commercial and supply chain experience would be ideal

- Strong communicator with good influencing skills

- Detail-oriented with an ability to understand interdependencies of timelines and project paths

- A high degree of organisational skill, ideally an understanding of the tenets of Project Management

- An energy for excellent execution and delivery, motivated by their part in successful product launches and change well executed in store

- An ability to grasp technical knowledge & ideally some background in / knowledge of food processing, engineering, marketing or R & D

- Stakeholder focussed- ability to influence broad cross- functional teams with different team members from marketing, R&D, manufacturing, logistics

- Ability to influence senior stakeholders

- Understands & able to effectively manage risk

- Prepared to challenge and be challenged

- Positive, resilient & willing to chase

- Strong IT skills including MS office, sharepoint, Project, iZone

- Financial awareness to enable accurate assessment of project performance and business cases, including investment appraisals and profit and loss accounts.
