Opportunity to join the Projects & Programmes team of one of the UK’s largest and most diverse property companies. Our regional teams deliver a high volume of small/medium lifecycle and fit-out projects. The Projects & Programmes division is responsible for delivery of construction services to our property outsourcing clients through regionally based teams of project managers, engineers and quantity surveyors.

Job Summary
• Graduate Assistant Project Manager
• Part of regional project management team, working closely with Senior Project Managers.
• Support regional team delivering a range of often fast track, business critical construction fit outs, people moves and life cycle replacement projects.
• Seeking professional qualifications - RICS/APM
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Close working with senior project managers, commercial managers and strategy managers
• Agree customer brief with Key Stakeholders
• Site survey and collection of project specific information
• Develop project proposals, option appraisals, viability, feasibility studies and present to customer
• Follow project management methodology to develop appropriate project plan and programme
• Develop project design proposal, tender documentation; managing consultants to assist when appropriate
• Project cost management
• Set up and manage project communication plan
• Manage tender and procurement process
• Prepare project business case and obtain appropriate project approvals
• Manage the appointment of consultants, contractors and suppliers, manage and administer contracts, monitor works on site and organise people migration and moves
• Administration, project completion, handover and occupant occupation
• Financial management of projects and settlement of final accounts
• Accurate project, team and regional level reporting to all stakeholders
• Compile project closure and post implementation review reports

• An ability to quickly understand and consistently apply standard procedures associated with project delivery
• Able to work across a number of projects at one time.
• An understanding of Corporate occupier occupational and operational needs
• MS Project knowledge
• MS Excel knowledge

Person Specification
Essential
• Building surveying or project management degree level qualification e.g. BSc
• Desire to obtain full professional qualification e.g. MRICS/APM
• Positive attitude and outgoing
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Flexible
• Car Driver with full UK driving licence
• Willing to travel across the region with support to our various national offices as appropriate
Desirable
• Project management experience
• NEC form of contract knowledge
• High IT aptitude.
