A part time UX / CMS developer is required for 2 months (likely to be extended) to start in January 2015 based in Brighton.

Part time - 3 days a week - £450 per day

Role:

We're looking for a UX / CMS developer to design, test, deliver and maintain customer facing online products and services that reflect the needs of customers, meet the business requirements, enable effective customer engagement and maximise ability to influence behaviour change within key customer groups.

Responsibilities:

You will:

*be responsible for the design and delivery of rich interactive web and intranet-based content and tools that are easy to find, easy to use and that support customer and business needs

*utilise business intelligence / analysis, design, test and deploy information architectures, user interfaces, wireframes and prototypes in accordance with UK government / industry and our web standards for our websites, online products and intranet

*be developing and maintaining our website, intranet and web content management system capability (currently OpenText Web Solutions)

*effectively deliver the functional aspects of website operations covering all sections of the business including the development and maintenance of web services and applications

*work with Capita technologies to ensure a coherent and integrated approach to website and IA development

*lead contribution to project and functional teams with specific, technical advice and knowledge

*keep the organisation up to date with the latest UX / web front end and content management system developments and advocate the implementation and adoption of a user-centred design methodology within the organisation

*lead support of our web publishing community to ensure smooth daily operation and communicate effectively with all key internal and external stakeholders.

Essential skills:

*in-depth knowledge and experience of development of ASP .Net content management solutions. Ideally, using OpenText Web Solutions 10 (formerly RedDot), including Navigation Manager and RQL

*advanced web front end development techniques including XHTML 1.0, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, , AJAX, Bootstrap

*experience of delivering small SQL projects and web service based solutions

*understanding of XML/XSLT/XSD, data access and business logic layers, and OOP

*web architecture design and development approaches and techniques

*a good understanding of W3C web standards and web 2.0 technologies, cross browser testing & bug fixing

*conversant with user experience and front end design cycle, web development cycle and software including Visual Studio, Adobe Creative Suite, MS IIS, Google mini

*Experience of rapid prototyping packages such as Axure, using agile design and development methodologies.

This role will pay £450 per day (Ltd/Umbrella).
