The Business Analysis Practice is on a journey. We're looking to make steps forward in several areas including; the usage of Rational Requirements Composer, embedding service delivery, capability mapping and estimating, to name a few.

We have the exciting challenge of helping to deliver Nationwide's Regulatory and Business Transformation agenda. Through an annual investment in change projects, we strive to make sure that the organisation remains competitive, continues to evolve and provides outstanding service to our members.

Our Principal Business Analysts (PBAs) are critical to the success of this journey by leading the Practice, and being responsible for senior stakeholder relationships, resourcing and the quality of all business analysis deliverables on significant portfolios.

Who we're looking for

We have an exciting opportunity as a PBA to support Nationwide's goal to deliver a Digital Society on the Digital, Distribution & Customer Marketing Portfolio (DDCM). Our transformation programmes will fundamentally change the way we interact & engage with our members to provide a seamless customer experience across all our channels.

We're interested in individuals with natural leadership ability, who can display exceptional influencing and communication skills, gained through extensive experience in analysis. You must have a creative outlook with the ability to combine analytical and innovative thinking, in order to provide the best possible solution.

You'll have:

- Exceptional leadership, line management and organisational skills, ideally gained in a Financial Services change delivery environment

- A reputation as a recognised subject matter expert in analysis with a proven track-record of leading analysis on large-scale, complex change programmes or business aligned portfolios (e.g. £15M+ values, circa 50 programme staff and suppliers with an analysis team of around 30-50 BA's & up to 7 Direct Reports)

- Led the Analysis on Business Process transformation programmes

- Extensive experience of influencing senior executives

- Experienced working with third party suppliers and must understand the importance of good, clear communication and collaboration.

Experience Specific to this role:

- Practical experience of capturing business needs using the following techniques: Use Cases, Story Boarding, Wireframing, and Customer Journeys

- A thorough understanding of Agile methodology & Prototyping to support delivery of innovative and incremental change aligned to customer outcomes

- Awareness of Payments Processes & Market Trends driving banking services delivered through digital channels including 'person to person' or 'person to business' digital payments.

What you'll be doing

As a leader in the Business Analysis Practice you'll be accountable for leading analysis on change programmes which will impact & improve the customer experience. You'll manage analysis risks and issues along with dependencies and impacts of change.

You'll work closely with senior key stakeholders across the business and IT to ensure requirements and changes are aligned to business aims and target operational and architectural models. You'll be flexible and measured in your approach to work.

As an enabler of significant business change, you'll be expected to deliver and support the best working methods, tools and practices to ensure success. You'll provide motivation and direction to analysis teams, playing a key role in the maturing of the Practice.

You'll proactively research and keep up to date on the latest technology & digital trends to inform and advise the business on strategic investment priorities.
