We are looking for a dynamic and high performing ICT Programme Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to develop, deliver and manage the ICT work stream projects of the new combined headquarters for Derbyshire Constabulary and Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service.

The Programme Manager will be responsible for programme start up, project definition and execution across the full programme life cycle. This will require a high technical competence and ability to think strategically from both the Police and the Fire Service perspective.

You will act as the primary interface from the project into the joint Police/Fire project board to ensure that the customer and project requirements are fully understood and implemented within the agreed programme plan. You will also identify project risks and opportunities, whilst leading initiatives and supporting work streams of the programme.

It is vital that you can demonstrate the successful delivery of multiple ICT infrastructure projects and be able to demonstrate you have a proven track record of creating and maintaining a strategy for IT applications, whilst having experience in commercial management and negotiation of suppliers of IS services.

This is a complex and challenging role that will be highly rewarding and high profile, with extensive communication and interfacing requirements with senior stakeholders from both services and suppliers.

You must have a degree or equivalent in a relevant field and project management qualification, plus established and demonstrable progressive experience in programme /project using business performance management and reporting methodologies.

The successful candidate will have strong administrative skills, with a proven track record in delivering projects on time, to budget as well as having a high level of personal integrity, diplomacy and emotional intelligence when engaging within a multi-stakeholder environment.
