WEB DEVELOPER (BACKEND)

This post is career graded:

Level 1: £24,472 - £27,924 per annum

Level 2: £29,558 - £32,778 per annum

Permanent - 37 hours per week

The Web Developer (Backend) role is part of an IT team which is central to our business transformation and will also be working closely with the IT Web Developer (Frontend).

We are looking to appoint an experienced developer to produce highly functional websites and applications for both the Council’s intranet and public facing website including integration with the Council’s back office applications.

The main duties will include development, maintenance and support of web applications and their integration into the Council’s back office systems. You will be expected to deliver secure web applications utilising best practice to ensure we meet data security requirements. You will be contributing to the Council’s business transformation programme and have practical experience of designing websites and building web applications. Knowledge of Drupal would be advantageous.

The post is career graded with two levels. You will be appointed to a level depending on their knowledge, skills and experience as outlined in the person specification.

You will be expected to be flexible and adaptable, potentially completing a wide variety of activities to support members of the IT team.
