The Infrastructure IT Project/Delivery Manager will report in to the Head of IT Delivery to manage the Infrastructure Competency Centre team focused on designing, developing and operating IT Infrastructure solutions to the Group. As a technical expert, you will manage the relationship with our key Infrastructure delivery partners, Fujitsu and GTS, plus provide central expertise and delivery capability to Group IT for all the required Infrastructure services and technologies. To achieve this the Infrastructure IT Project/Delivery Manager will be working closely with other IT functions to ensure infrastructure components and services are delivered and that our international infrastructure environments are able to co-exist and service data can be delivered across them.

What you will be required to deliver in your role as Infrastructure IT Project/Delivery Manager:

- Managing the relationships between the Infrastructure Competency Centre, Senior Business and IT stakeholders.

- Providing central expertise and delivery capability to Group IT for all the required Infrastructure services and technologies including:

- Data Centre hosting. Server, Storage and associated technologies.

- Network solution including WAN, LAN, Internet, Firewall and other security solutions

- Desktop technologies

- Communication and Collaboration technologies and solutions

- Effective leadership and management of the Infrastructure Competency Centre, responsible for people development, employee engagement and the team organisation to ensure clarity of governance and accountability, and facilitate successful delivery

- Creating a high performing team, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and skills within the Infrastructure project portfolio.

- Participate on the key IT governance and programme bodies of IPF relevant to Infrastructure Competency Centres

- Delivering technology-enabled Infrastructure innovation, including highlighting industry best practice, market / supplier opportunities.

- Agreeing business priorities for IT investment and for the formal initiation of projects with appropriate business sponsorship & governance in the Infrastructure arena.

- Successful delivery of IT Infrastructure roadmaps.

- Quality assurance and integrity of the Infrastructure programmes within the IT Transformation

- IT support to new market entries in Infrastructure technologies

- Identifying any technologies or solution in the Infrastructure space that could improve IPF productivity, reduce costs and support business change priorities.

- Ensuring that the IT Infrastructure priorities are integrated with the business strategy.

- Performance ownership of core Infrastructure systems in the competency centre

- Managing operation costs associated with Infrastructure Competency Centre.

The successful Infrastructure IT Project/Delivery Manager candidate will have:

- Strong technical background with exposure to a variety of relevant infrastructure technologies

- A track record of successful management and delivery of projects worth £1m+ in a senior infrastructure role

- Commercial experience - working with key Infrastructure delivery partners including 3rd party technology vendor assessments and reviews

- Proven ability to influence business strategy in relation to technology

- Preferably degree educated, with Prince II or equivalent project management methodology

- A willingness to travel internationally (at least one trip per month)
