About the Team

O2 Unify has been set up to deliver managed IT & Telecommunications services to O2’s major corporate customers within the UK. With an industry-leading record of high customer satisfaction within its mobile and fixed line businesses, it is essential that the new services are delivered to the same high standard, maintaining one of O2’s key differentiators in the market.

Your Role

You’ll report to the Head of Project Management and matrix manage a Programme Manager. The role will be responsible for leading the successful end to end delivery of assigned and significant Operation’s Project(s) (complex, high value, business imperative) either in the IT network environment or the Mobile Network from a set of requirements through to completion that meets the business needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Summary of key responsibilities:

Define project from the agreed business scope and requirements producing key foundation documentation including Project Definition Report, governance and control documentation and schedulesManage and control the project budget working closely with the Business owner and where appropriate the Programme/Portfolio ManagerEffective project governance to ensure delivery against Time, Cost, Quality and agreed scope working closely with the Business Owners to ensure that the business benefits are realised.Operate effective project controls employing best practice effective Risk, Issue and Dependency managementThrough strong leadership and interpersonal skills, develop capability across the Project community via industry recognised Project methodologiesExercise clear and effective matrix management of the Project team drawn from various areas of the business through excellent interpersonal skills and clear efficient work breakdown structuresBuild relationships with senior key stakeholders (internally and externally), plan and execute communications plans. Inform and influence stakeholders to improve the probability of success.

Key Skills and Experiences Required

You’ll need to have the following skills and experience:

ICT Managed Service backgroundExperience with Unified Comms - LAN/WAN/LYNC/VOIPStrong leadership and communications skills with gravitas and credibility to operate at Senior levelLeading projects in a large complex organisation where time to market and cost are critical to successStakeholder management skills to senior level and across 3rd party suppliersProven track record in line management and capability developmentPrince2 Practitioner, PMI equivalent or PPM accredited.
