This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Credit Services Global Product Development team as a Business Analyst focusing on our best-in-class technologies. The role will involve joining other Business Analysts working on a wide range of client-led and product-led projects across Information and data developments.

Whilst there will be specific products that you will be expected to become a Subject Matter Expert in, there will also be breadth required to ensure that the team function well together and cross-product and cross-Business Unit synergies are identified and exploited.

The role involves working in close collaboration with the Project Managers, Test Leads, Tech Leads and offshore teams to ensure we have a strong collaborative approach and meet the business units and or client's' expectations.

There is a strong pipeline of investment into Experian products plus a steady stream of client bespoke projects/deliveries that in addition to CS GPD's activities also require cross-Experian co-ordination and contribution.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting detailed analysis and product design, producing outline specifications of business requirements and preparing feasibility proposals for internal and / or external design. The candidate will also be responsible for support and delivery of projects through the Analysis, Development, Testing, UAT and Production phases. Post implementation warranty support and a strong focus on lessons learned and continuous improvement will also be key features.

Key Responsibilities

Customer relationship management

- Identifying relevant stakeholders (clients, third party suppliers, internal team etc.) and their area and level of influence in each project. Develop and execute a strategy to manage and communicate to the stakeholders appropriately

- Enable the definition of business requirements, prepare feasibility studies and ensure that products meet the needs of the business

- Negotiate prioritisation requirements with Delivery Manager, Product Managers, Account Managers and Business Consultants

- Pro-actively manage customer expectations and identify measures to improve delivery and customer satisfaction

- Use effective working relationships within GPD and with third party suppliers to ensure solutions add value, meet business expectations and GPD commitments

Product Delivery

- Develop deep product knowledge and ensure this is shared and managed

- Manage detailed business and systems analysis and documentation of requirements, functional and technical specifications, and obtain agreement and authorisation

- Support the Project Manager and wider delivery team to ensure that overall project delivery to time, quality and budget is achieved

- Escalate all business systems projects that are, or at risk of being, outside agreed parameters and recommend effective corrective action

- Create and maintain relevant documentation as required by the project e.g. User Guides, Implementation Guides, Training Guides etc to the satisfaction of the users of the documentation in line with the project plan

Role Requirements

Essential

- Suitable experience in a Business Analyst role or similar in an IT environment

- Experience or background in software development projects and delivery methodologies

- A sound understanding of the software development lifecycle and familiarity with project management concepts

- A good understanding and demonstrable practical experience of the application of different tools and techniques and their impact on project success

- Technical knowledge coupled with a strong business acumen

Desirable

- ISEB BA Qualifications

- A software development or data analysis background or experience in engaging with software development teams and test teams is desirable but not essential

- Experience in working with offshore or outsourced development teams and third party suppliers is desirable but not essential
