An opportunity has arisen for a z/platform DB2 DBA Technical Specialist to join Database Services Team.
The role will involve supporting and implementing changes within the DB2 environment. You will be responsible for assisting with testing of changes ensuring the solution is fit for purpose providing feedback where change is required. You will be providing peer checking of others changes to mitigate delivery risk to service. Resolution of incidents and problems across Lloyds Banking Group Estate .
- You will be providing expertise and Knowledge of the z/platform estate.
- Investigate and promote industry best practice.
- You will be responsible for supporting and implementing changes to the DB2 Estate within Llloyds Banking Group Resolution of incidents and problems across the LBG estate
- Represent databases services in WAR room conference calls with incident management and Technical Teams in order to restore service.
- You will support testing cycles providing feedback to Test Managers on results
- Manage the Sign-off that solution/service is fit for Production environment as part of Gateway, working effectively with the wider team to ensure an efficient handover to support.
- Provide ad hoc out of hours support.
- Identify risks across the DB2 estate and develop remediation plan.
What we are looking for:
You will experience in a similar environment, with excellent knowledge of z/ platform and DB2
Excellent communication skills and experience working in financial services is an advantage but not essential
