SGN operates over 74,000km of gas mains and services in Scotland and the south of England. Whoever your supplier is, we have a responsibility to deliver gas safely, reliably and efficiently to every one of our 5.8 million customers. Our Maintenance teams ensure the safe and reliable operation of our pressure control assets; this involves the maintenance and repair of installations and equipment of various sizes and operating pressures.

An opportunity has arisen for the position of Project Manager within our Southern network.

Responsible for managing the successful delivery of gas infrastructure projects including transmission pipelines, gas storage and above-ground installations; you will direct resources and activities to deliver projects in line with business objectives and customer requirements.

Principle accountabilities include:

- Ensure projects are managed safely in accordance with statutory requirements and Company policy and procedures.

- Establish the necessary resources, both internal and external, to deliver programmes of work.

- Maintain a close working relationship with all stakeholders throughout all stages of each project.

- Ensure that projects are delivered in accordance with the agreed programme and budget requirements.

- Ensure that all projects are delivered in accordance with Company standards and specifications, and legislative requirements.

Applicants must have demonstrable experience in the field of gas transmission project construction and should be educated to degree standard in an appropriate discipline although an HND would be considered where sufficient experience can be demonstrated. Membership of an accredited professional body, or working towards membership, is desirable.

A full valid driving license is essential and the successful candidate will be expected to travel widely.
