Our vision is to make Lloyds Banking Group the best bank for customers. As the UK's largest retail and commercial bank, we have a footprint that touches nearly every community and household in the UK. That gives us a big responsibility to support the UK economy, and to put customers at the heart of everything we do. To achieve this, we also need to be the best bank for our colleagues and our communities - and we have a clear strategy in place to make this a reality. We are building on our many strengths: iconic brands, strong heritages and great people. To unlock the great potential in our business, we are becoming more efficient, more transparent, and more responsive to customers. Already the UK's largest community investor, we are giving even more back. Above all, we are putting customers first.

We currently have an opportunity to join a talented team dedicated to providing the necessary firewall protection to the organisations networks. As part of this team, you will be a key person for any Firewall support and project requirements, including implementation, design activities and embedding best in class solutions.

You will share the responsibility of successfully protecting the 1 in 3 people who use our systems in the UK as well as our 10 million active online banking users. You can expect much of your time to be split between support and project work as we continually improve our offering to become the Best bank for Customers. In addition to your support responsibilities, you will demonstrate an ability and willingness to engage with programmes and initiatives throughout the project lifecycle, delivering their requirements. You will also being comfortable supporting major incidents when necessary.

There will be a 24/7 shift pattern in place across the team which is designed to provide the most robust level of defence to the services our customers rely on us to provide. As part of this role, you will be a shift lead. This means that you will have proven leadership skills and will set direction for technical colleagues. You will also be able to show problem resolution and technical recovery management skills. This will include taking appropriate ownership of time critical activities, driving service impacting issues to resolution and managing stakeholders. Your abilities around communication will be a key part of your overall skill base, as will your analytical and decision making capabilities.

Technically, you will be CCSE/CCSA or qualified through experience with Checkpoint Firewalls. Ideally you would also have a range of wider Cisco Networks skills and knowledge. You will demonstrate an ability to deliver into a multi-vendor, enterprise-level environment, working from being hands on with the devices to planning larger changes and implementations. Whilst you don't need to have worked in the Finance Sector - knowledge of regulated environments would be favourable.

In return, we'll recognise and reward your performance. As well as an award-winning benefits package, you'll also have our full support, training and opportunities for personal and professional development. The team will work a rotating 12hr shift pattern and in recognition of this a shift allowance will be paid.

This role can be based in Copley, London, Bristol or Edinburgh.
