Who we're looking for

Firstly you must enjoy all activities associated with a Senior Business Analyst role. This will include task management of Business Analysts, elicitation of requirements for complex issues, requirements traceability, process re-engineering and business readiness. Within each of these activities you'll work collaboratively with other areas of the business and manage various stakeholders.

We're looking for individuals with the ability to quickly develop an excellent understanding of business processes and needs, and who have experience working with ambiguity in a fast paced, often challenging environment.

You'll have the confidence to use a number of proven elicitation techniques and analysis methodologies to challenge appropriately and seek solutions to complex problems, with the ability to work in partnership with various colleagues across the project lifecycle.

As a minimum requirement you'll have:

- Prior experience working as a Senior Business Analyst

- Possess excellent communication and influencing skills

- Experience of leading business analysis resource within a project or programme

- Expert knowledge of analysis tools, methodology and best practice and will be able to apply structured analysis expertise on assigned projects

- Experience working with 3rd party suppliers

- End to end project lifecycle experience

It would be nice if you also have:

- Relevant professional qualification in analysis disciplines, such as BCS modules/diploma

- Experience of working with a Rational suite of products

- Financial services knowledge

What you'll be doing

Your aim will be to ensure Nationwide obtains the best value, and that the solution delivers excellent customer service.

You'll plan and task manage a small number of Business Analysts to develop high quality deliverables as defined by our Business Analysis services to our defined quality standards.

Your good people and engagement skills will aid you in motivating your analysts to work collaboratively with our partners and stakeholders providing confidence in our delivery and reporting against your plans.

You'll support the business with understanding more complex needs and bring to life their needs by leading workshops and facilitating discussions. This will lead to the production of Functional and Non-Functional requirements.

Role responsibilities:

- Conduct peer reviews of deliverables to ensure that quality standards are met on all outputs

- Apply structured analysis expertise on assigned projects and work closely with stakeholders to shape and manage their expectations

- Work on complex projects, helping to identify and articulate risks and issues

- Provide timely updates to project and programme managers and your leaders within the Business Analysis Practice

- Help shape and drive Business Analysis at Nationwide through the continuous improvement & transformation of our practice
