Join RS Components in Corby as a Programme Support Officer and you will be part of the Strategic Programmes Team reporting a Strategic Programme Manager. You will work alongside a Programme Manager to ensure successful delivery of all programme and project management activity. This role will have a significant contribution to towards the successful delivery of the company’s strategy.

Key Accountabilities

The Programme Support Officer will provide technical programme and project management support to one or more Programme Manager/s and their Programme Team.

Key responsibilities include development of Programme documentation on behalf of the Programme Manager; management of Programme controls including risk and issues management; continuous validation of tasks and timelines.

The Programme Support Officer will also be required to create the Programme Dashboard on a monthly basis and ad hoc reporting as required by the Programme. A critical element of the role will be the ongoing stakeholder management and liaison with the Programme Steering Committee and associated Leadership team members.

The Programme Support Officer should maintain the Company Portfolio Management Tool for Programme. In addition, they promote and train the Programmes key stakeholders on the GPMO lifecycles, governance control process, and software tools, and follow best practice guidance.

The Programme Support Officer will also be expected to read and validate all project status reports and data within the portfolio management software and action with the project managers to ensure completion and accuracy of the current portfolio status.

What we are looking for:

- Educated to degree level or equivalent

- Proven experience of working in a PMO environment

- Proven experience of project management using a recognised project methodology e.g. Price2, Waterfall, Agile

- Able to communicate confidently and effectively at all levels of the business and to various stakeholder groups, both written and verbal

- Highly organised and methodical approach to work

- Proactive self-starter

- Excellent attention to detail

- Excellent analytical / reporting skills

- Confident and proficient IT user

- Can operate within a team environment and be an equal team member

Desirable:

- Understanding of finance in relation to project budgeting, benefit management KPIs and reporting.

- PRINCE 2 or equivalent qualification

- Experience of working in a matrix environment

- Experience of working in a global business

- Experience of PPM software solutions
