Front-end Developer

The role:

Every day will be filled with possibilities as you design and develop engaging and intuitive user experiences for our web-based applications and websites. You’ll use your positive attitude, excellent communication skills and knowledge of new technologies to help inspire and encourage new ways of working.

This varied role is also responsible for the integration of designs and configuration of the RCN’s content management systems.

The role offers significant opportunity to use the latest web tools and techniques to develop appealing user interfaces for bespoke solutions that streamline business processes.

Working on a number of varied projects, you would be part of the IT Development team playing a key role in the development of the RCN’s websites and bespoke web-based applications to meet operational needs.

The person:

As well as exceptional customer service, to join us you’ll need experience in designing engaging, intuitive and accessible user interfaces and turning these into valid HTML and CSS.

You will have a high level of skill in areas such as responsive design HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, jQuery & JavaScript.

You will need to show adaptability, reliability and the ability to handle high pressure situations together with a commitment to collaborative working.

You will be an excellent communicator, with a passion for web standards and innovation.
