The Chief Information and Process Office (CIPO) area within DIO Head Office is responsible for the delivery, management and assurance of all IT/IS strategies, policies, standards and services that are applicable to the DIO. CIPO has four key pillars; Requirements and Customer Service Team, Design and Transition Team, Delivery and Operations Team and Security and Assurance Team.

The DIO Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for leading a team of Business Analysts within the Chief Information Process Owner (CIPO) team of the DIO. The team will responsible for understanding customer needs for IS enabled business change, assessing the impact of those changes, capturing, analysing and documenting requirements and providing a QA role to overseeing the delivery of tangible solutions to meet those requirements.

Key activities will include:

- Facilitation and management of stakeholder workshops.

- Identification, documentation and analysis of detailed business requirements

- Work with business change owners to gather, develop and document process maps and to establish the "as is" and "to be" positions.

- Engage with business change owners and IT suppliers (where required) to ensure that requirements are clearly understood and necessary information is available;

- Translating and simplifying requirements through the use of rich pictures, use cases and other best practice techniques.

- Monitor and report on the achievement of user requirements as solutions are delivered in house or by external suppliers

- Review and analysis of system design documentation to ensure requirements will be met.

- Preparation of Business cases and securing of necessary approvals.

- Engagement with CIPO Benefits Manager to quantify potential business benefits resulting from a change

- Provide regular and ad-hoc analysis and clear, concise management information regarding progress of delivering requirements

- To undertake a Quality Assurance role during preparation and execution testing of new systems capability.
