This is your chance to work on a real breadth of projects and programmes as part of the Portfolio Office for the Surface group of Transport for London. You’ll play your part in implementing and driving robust project controls across Surface Transport’s entire portfolio of projects and programmes. We’re talking high profile projects, such as the Hammersmith Flyover and Silvertown Tunnel. And that’s not all.

This critical role is all about coordinating the delivery of Portfolio Office services across a designated collection of projects and programmes. You’ll take charge of the implementation of robust reporting and budgeting tools, techniques and processes and then use these tools to prepare quarterly and periodic budget reports for the Director and the Surface board. Our vision is for the Portfolio Office to become a project controls centre of excellence, and you’ll play your part in developing the delivery team to secure P3M3 certification.

Your strong portfolio office background will give you credibility with contacts in all aspects and levels of the business. Experience in using P3M3 standards would further add to this. You’ll definitely be an ambitious, dynamic and self-assured professional with a sound understanding of project and programme management methodologies as well as reporting and budgeting tools and their practical application in a transport setting. Above all, you’ll be ready to challenge the status quo and be excited about the opportunity to shape some of the biggest civils projects in Europe.

The closing date for all applications is 26th May 2015 at 2359 hours.
