Unicorn Training is seeking a Web Designer, with excellent front end design skills and knowledge of HTML and CSS.

We work with some large companies to provide high quality online training via our Learning Management System, SkillsServe. This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated, creative, technical web designer to take the front end themes of SkillsServe and push the design to the limit, creatively and technically.

You must be proficient in Photoshop and have rudimentary HTML/CSS skills with the ability to create and design themes and web pages using those tools to a high standard from a client’s branding and brief. You will be highly creative, confident technically and be able to work independently or request additional help when required.

Your role will involve the following duties:

            -         Work with Project Managers to obtain client branding and design briefs

            -         Design and implement themes and also web/wiki pages

            -         Design user interfaces and work with the UX team when required

            -         Help maintain Unicorn’s website through design or providing support to the web developer.

The ideal candidate will have:

            -         High quality design skills with pixel perfect precision

            -         Excellent communication skills and a confident, pro-active an professional manner

            -         Be able to manage their own workloads, use initiative and prioritise effectively

            -         Keen to find ways of pushing improvements and sharing ideas and opinions

            -         Be able to work under pressure and extra hours when required to get strategically important project completed on time.

Due to a high volume of applications, it is extremely important that you provide good quality examples of your work, preferably from design through to live sites.

We will require references and an up-to-date CV. Fluent English is a must for this role as you will be interfacing with the rest of the business and clients and you must be eligible to work in the UK.
