Approximately £15m of Kew’s annual budget is devoted to major projects and programmes of work. These initiatives span a wide range of areas including science, landscape improvements, construction, technology and public engagement. Since 2014, Kew has undertaken considerable efforts to improve project delivery, particularly in the areas of Estates and IT. We now need to build on this good start and continue to develop the organisation’s PPPM (project, programme & portfolio management) maturity.

In your previous roles as a project officer, you will have gained substantial experience of successfully supporting a similarly sized portfolio of major projects for a not-for-profit organisation. You will also have experience of working with project managers to provide high quality, standardised management information. Ideally you will possess formal qualifications in one or more areas of PPPM.
