We currently have a vacancy in our UNIX team for an AIX and Linux Administrator who will work as part of a dynamic team that's responsible for hardware and software maintenance and change. In fact, the UNIX Maintenance team is accountable for 4 technologies (AIX, Linux, Solaris and HP) and delivers in excess of 2000 changes per year to keep the estate current.

Familiar with working in project teams, you will have demonstrable experience with Change Management processes. You will be able to co-ordinate complex workloads and will have demonstrated your ability to task manage people effectively and with the right priorities to provide a consistent level of support.

As well as being an accomplished Systems administrator you will have a service focus and stakeholder management skills to be able to be part of a rota offering Technical Recovery Manager Capability in line with the below.

-Experience of AIX v5 / v6 / v7.

-HACMP (Clustering technique)

-Experience of RHEL (x86) V5 / V6.

-Knowledge of Physical Hardware (HP).

-Operating knowledge of VMware.

-Experience of Satellite Server and ILO.

-Experience of patching and maintaining (Software/ Hardware)

You will be expected to work some weekends and overnights dependant on Change Schedules.
