SECONDMENT OPPORTUNITY
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Project Manager who is absolutely committed to enhancing patient care, through the implementation of Clinical and Information Systems within the NHS Highland area.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of enhanced Laboratory solutions across NHS Highland including the development of a business case for a replacement Laboratory system and subsequent implementation of a new system to support the needs of NHS Highland.
The replacement of the existing Laboratory System will be the main focus for the post however the post holder is expected to be involved in other Laboratory focused Projects which will involve working with staff of all levels within NHS Highland, other Health Boards and potentially the Scottish Government. Projects may involve small business cases, procurements, negotiations with suppliers and management of the overall Business Case.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate a real commitment to working across all relevant aspects of the service, show an ability to enthuse and motivate and give a commitment to meeting exacting deadlines. Previous experience of leading large administrative and clinically focused projects is essential, as is project management experience and evidence of excellent personal organisational and communication skills are essential. Applicants should be qualified PRINCE2 practitioners.
A demonstrable commitment to improving the services we provide to patients is absolutely essential.
Full current driving licence and use of car for work purposes is essential.
