The Opportunity:

This is an unique opportunity to work at the heart of the business interacting and getting involved in a huge range of projects, you could be working on a finance project one week and a commercial project the next! We work on high value projects, which, without our input, would take longer to deliver, or might not be delivered at all.

We move fast at Holiday Extras and don’t wait till the end of the project before going live, we iterate as we go, delivering small chunks to the customer to test, learning and adapting throughout the cycle.

The role is vast and ever changing which provides opportunities to continually challenge the way we do things while delivering brand new products. The environment is fast paced but there is a solid support network to help you succeed.

Is this you?

- You will be an integral part of the project team, communicating where we are and how it looks through the project cycle.

- As a natural organiser you instinctively know how to prioritise your workload, as well as help to prioritise the workload of the project team.

- You are able to manage setbacks, and pressure from various stakeholders, and can manage sometimes conflicting expectations from all levels.

- You are good at problem solving, not afraid to challenge and have confidence to communicate how the project is progressing, resolving any issues to allow the project to continue.

Role Highlights:

- Responsible for running the project process, ensuring this is followed and pro actively adapting the process to handle change.

- Ownership of metrics, existing and new, understanding what we are currently achieving and how we measure that our project is successful.

- Organise, co-ordinate and bring everyone together, facilitate meetings and ensure a solution is agreed by everyone.

- Run regular demos as a Team, evaluate and share the feedback and embrace change, deloying early and iterating at every stage to maximise benefits to customers.

Skills and Experience Required:

- Proven project management experience

- Natural problem solving, always looking for a different way to solve a problem.

- Team player actively collaborating with the team and business.

- Seeks to validate and challenge results.

- Leads by example, drives the project, influential and proactive.

- Great communicator, driving communication and making sure everyone is kept in the loop.

- Possess the expert knowledge to identify opportunities and the ability to convey the need for change.

- Can do and flexible attitude.

Desirable:

- Experience of Agile, Scrum Kanban techniques.

- Knowledge of the travel industry.

- Knowledge of Web based products.

- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.

- A track record of building strong cross-functional working relationships.

- The ability to work in a demanding and fast paced environment.
