The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) exists to investigate complaints fairly and thoroughly. Following a decision by the Home Secretary, the IPCC’s remit has been expanded to cover all serious and sensitive allegations. The IPCC is now one year into a three year change programme (running through to April 2017) that is designed to create an organisation, "the New IPCC", that is equipped and capable of dealing effectively with all serious and sensitive allegations, and improving public confidence in the police complaints system. The change programme is being run as a fully integrated programme, with some central resource and control processes in place, and individual projects being owned and run by key managers across IPCC’s functions, supported by the central programme team.

We are now looking for a Programme Management Office Lead (PMO Lead) to join the central programme team to ensure ongoing effectiveness in planning, reporting and programme control. As PMO Lead, you will be responsible for setting, maintaining, planning and reporting standards and outputs centrally. In addition you will support projects from the Programme Management Office perspective, by working with other IPCC projects to ensure consistent standards of planning, management and reporting are adopted.

Closing Date: Friday 31st July 2015.

The IPCC is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from candidates regardless of ethnic origin, religious belief, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age or any factor unrelated to someone’s ability to perform the job.

We particularly welcome applications from black and minority ethnic candidates as they are under-represented within the IPCC at this level.
