Our vision is to make Lloyds Banking Group the best bank for customers. As the UK's largest retail and commercial bank, we have a footprint that touches nearly every community and household in the UK. That gives us a big responsibility to support the UK economy, and to put customers at the heart of everything we do. To achieve this, we also need to be the best bank for our colleagues and our communities - and we have a clear strategy in place to make this a reality. We are building on our many strengths: iconic brands, strong heritages and great people. To unlock the great potential in our business, we are becoming more efficient, more transparent, and more responsive to customers. Already the UK's largest community investor, we are giving even more back. Above all, we are putting customers first.

The Retail Service & Reporting platform supports branch applications used to service the needs of millions of customers across the Group's Lloyds Bank, Bank of Scotland and Halifax branch network - a network of over 2,400 branches.

The platform is the responsibility of our Retail CIO Community Bank function that delivers changes to these core systems in the support of IT and Business projects. The team delivers in the region of 50 large and small initiatives annually with a budget in excess of £20m. There are over 200 colleagues on the platform across sites in Manchester, Halifax, London and Chennai (India).

Your role, using strong interpersonal and influencing skills, would be to work collaboratively with other teams across Group IT, and working particularly closely with the platform supplier. You'll need to advise, challenge and escalate as appropriate during the project to ensure that changes don't affect the quality of any of the application deliverables. Keen to add value, you'll look for additional opportunities to improve the applications and share learning. You will be a highly motivated, service focussed individual looking to join a strong performing team. Travel will be required to visit the wider team in Manchester, as well as travel to Pudsey for release support. You will be a good communicator, capable of providing a non-technical summary to business-facing stakeholders.

You'll likely have a background as an SME in a Technical environment - using your technical expertise as well as Problem/ Incident/ Change Management to provide an outstanding service to customers. You will be proficient in a range of technologies including technologies such as: C#, .NET, VBScript and UNIX. C++ or SQL experience would be a distinct advantage.

Experience working with partner resources (onshore or offshore) would be ideal and a good understanding of ITIL frameworks would be highly beneficial.

In return, we'll recognise and reward your performance. Our award-winning benefits package includes a flexible option that allows you to choose cash or pick from a wide range of benefits. These include a contributory pension scheme, private medical insurance and retail discount vouchers. You'll also have our full support, training and opportunities for both personal and professional development.
