To deliver against our commitment, an exciting opportunity for a Lead Business Analyst has arisen within the Finance Change Portfolio within COO Business Change, Insurance.

Finance change is responsible for delivering the change agenda on behalf of the Finance function, and works on projects aimed at enhancing our Finance systems, organisation and business processes. You will be working with Finance subject matter experts and various teams to implement a successful delivery.

Previous Finance change and business analysis experience is essential, along with experience of working with financial systems in a financial institution. Knowledge of Finance Risk and Treasury is advantageous.

You will have business change experience and ambitions in driving transformation and benefit realisation, operating with speed, simplicity and trust.

You'll be responsible for everything from building relationships with stakeholders, gathering and building requirements, to providing strong Business Analysis expertise/knowledge and managing risks to help deliver projects successfully.

Role accountabilities;

- Manages business engagement to understand, challenge and document underlying business needs, translating these into project scope, objectives and business goals.

- Designs and facilitates business need workshops to analyse, define and prioritise requirements.

- Defines and manages the documentation of business requirements and prepares business case underpinning solution options.

- Understands and articulates the effect of proposed solutions, creating accurate and detailed as-is and to-be business models incorporating process and benefit analysis, people and customer impact assessment.

- Maintains good knowledge of an individual business/ product area and working knowledge providing business analysis insight for ad hoc queries, consulting requests, independent reviews and management of quality assurance activity.

- Defines business analysis approach, applies project best practice throughout the life cycle with supporting documentation and tools, promoting equivalent behaviour across the business.

- Builds and maintains effective working relationships with appropriate colleagues to share knowledge and best practice.

- Owns resolution of business analysis issues, identifying and managing mitigating actions against design risks

To succeed you'll need previous experience in a Business Analysis role supported by an ISEB or similar qualification. Good interpersonal skills will be essential.
