IT Business Analyst

Role of the BA -

The role of a BA is to understand business needs and translate them into plain English as a set of prioritised requirements for developers to build an IT solution.

Skills needed -

Most important is to have an analytical mind, have a deep curiosity about business process and never by afraid to ask the question why. Your people skills, the ability to listen, to communicate, to break down the complex into bite size chunks is essential.

You will work on projects that bring about change, this will bring you into contact with all sorts of different people, from senior managers to a large distributed set of users in multiple countries, internal developers and external suppliers.

Technical skills are not required but an understanding of the IT development process is an advantage.

Experience / background

- The right person would have a strong background in analysis and problem solving. This could be from within IT as a business / technical analyst or alternatively we would encourage applicants from outside IT but with a history of analysis and problem solving behind them.

- Your awareness of the Commercial, Operations, Fleet or Finance area would be an advantage.
