Overview:

Buckinghamshire County Council is going through an exciting time of transformation, including a significant Digital change programme and the development of our business insight and intelligence practices across the organisation. A key enabler for this transformation is the introduction of business intelligence software and data integration capability.

About the role:

This is an exciting new opportunity for a skilled integration specialist, with business intelligence software knowledge to help shape the way in which the organisation designs and delivers its data, information and insight. The successful individual will report direct to the Head of Business Intelligence, leading the continued development and embedding of the BI software and data integration capability.

Working as a technical expert, you will engage proactively with managers and colleagues across the organisation to support the development of interactive BI dashboards and lead on coordinating and delivering complex data integration opportunities. It’s the chance to champion the transition into a more efficient digital way of operating, helping the organisation to realise efficiency savings and create new intelligence.

This is fixed term opportunity until 31 October 2016

About you:

You’ll come to us with strong technical expertise in the field of data integration (Microsoft SSIS) and a good understanding of business intelligence software and capability. Enthusiastic and positive, you will be confident and proactive in engaging with managers and colleagues to achieve real outcomes. After all, they’ll be impressed with your proven track record of enabling effective integration of data and working collaborative with others. Your sound people skills will be matched by outstanding ICT data skills.
