The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) is the independent body charged with overseeing the police complaints system. It can choose to manage or supervise a police investigation into a complaint and independently investigates the most serious cases.

We are now looking for a customer-focussed and experienced desktop support officer to support our Croydon Office. You will support the work of the IPCC’s client-side ICT Services team by:

- Providing hands-on support to local users in their use of the IPCC standard desktop and end devices such as scanners, plotters and printers

- Undertaking Installations, Moves, and Changes (IMACS) related to desktop equipment and supporting desktop refresh projects;

- Supporting incident management and problem resolution by undertaking simple first time fix and managing local "break-fix arrangements" through swap-out and stock maintenance;

- Working with the IPCC’s outsourced ICT provider, its help desk and resolver groups.

- Administration of user accounts and profiles and dealing with information support requests and more general ICT administrative support such as asset register maintenance and project secretariat.
