The company is a highly regarded developer and manufacturer of high-quality medical products which it supplies to a global customer base. As part of a $2bn international group with c5,500 employees, it is set to benefit from a significant capital investment programme and is looking to recruit an Engineering Project Manager into this challenging position.

The Challenge

- To assume overall responsibility for all engineering project activity (excluding R&D) across the site.

- To manage the delivery of a wide range of engineering projects from concept to delivery within budget and to agreed timeframes.

- To provide leadership and guidance to cross-functional project teams.

- To assist the Senior Leadership Team with the selection and prioritisation of projects.

- To implement robust project management methodologies and to ensure that senior managers and other stakeholders are regularly updated regarding the status of projects.

The Candidate

- Must be able to demonstrate a successful track record of project delivery within a demanding, fast-paced manufacturing environment.

- Should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills which enable you to maximise the performance of cross-functional teams.

- Of graduate calibre, a professional Project Management qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.

- You must have gained experience in an environment committed to process excellence, world-class manufacturing or continuous improvement with a company which has embraced Lean/6-Sigma methodologies.

- A background in managing projects within a regulated manufacturing environment - pharmaceutical, medical devices, aerospace, food and drink, automotive - would be beneficial.
