Telecoms Field Engineer
Role: Telecoms Field Engineer
Location: Hampshire
Experience: VoIP / PBX (ideally NEC or Unify)
Benefits: £25,000 - £30,000 + Car
Our client is a well-established, award winning telecommunications reseller focused on the supply of bespoke telecommunication solutions, installation, maintenance and support of voice and data products across the UK. The company has been trading for many years, is expanding and stable, it has an excellent portfolio of products and is a reseller on behalf of world-class telecom manufacturers.
The company is now recruiting for an additional field engineer to join their Technical Implementation Dept. The successful candidate will have experience on the Unify OpenScape Office MX / LX / Siemens 3000 / OpenScape Business range or NEC - SV8100 / SV9100 / MyCalls / SL1100 / XN120 and have a minimum of 2 years' field engineering experience.
Other vendor qualifications will be considered (Cisco, Panasonic, Avaya, Mitel) For this multi skilled role the successful the candidate will be primarily working on the Unify Hipath 3000 / Siemens OpenOffice / OpenScape Business range and/or NEC - SV9100 / MyCalls / XN120. The more experience and formal training / accreditations on the Unify Siemens / NEC range the better.
Previous experience of VOIP is also essential. Cross training will be provided on other systems. The ideal living location for this position is the Southampton / Portsmouth area although candidates in other areas of Hampshire will be considered.
This is a mixed and varied role involving remote diagnostics, client support, installation, commissioning and maintenance, predominantly throughout the South of England. It is also essential that you have strong communication skills, you are well presented, possess a flexible, positive attitude and have good proactive problem solving skills. Technical Attributes
* Qualification to GCSE grade A-C
*Min of 2-3 years Telecoms experience
* Qualifications on the NEC (SV8100, SV9100 and XN120) or Unify platforms (3K, MX and Openscape Business Range)
* Basic Knowledge of networking (LAN/WAN/VPN/VOIP)
*Basic Knowledge of Desktop operating systems (Windows XP/7/8) including Office Suites.
* Basic Server knowledge using AD, DCHP scopes an advantage
