We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst to join our £multi-million transformation for growth project. Reporting to the Business Analysis Lead you will support our markets in the delivery of the strategy for growth by identifying, capturing and documenting process and system improvements.

The purpose (in a nutshell) of the Senior Business Analyst role…

We have an exciting opportunity for a full time permanent Senior Business Analyst to work within the International Programmes team, based in our Leeds head office. Joining our £multi-million transformation for growth project, you will report to the Business Analysis Lead and be supporting our markets in delivering the strategy for growth by identifying, capturing and documenting process and system improvements as part of a continuous improvement (CI) culture.

Key role responsibilities of the Senior Business Analyst are to…

- Seek cost effective solutions to problems.

- Develop proposals for changing business processes and systems through the analysis of organisation, process and systems.

- Question & challenge potential change and derive appropriate requirements for change.

- Seek creative & innovative solutions to business problems.

- Work with business & IT colleagues to successfully deliver required changes through each stage of the project life-cycle, providing specialist input as required.

- Review and provide feedback on proposals and documentation supporting system changes to ensure solutions meet the business requirements.

- Ensure all Company standards, policies and procedures are satisfactorily met and where gaps exist, identify and initiate an appropriate plan of action to bridge these gaps.

- Ensure all regulatory/ legislative requirements are satisfactorily met and hold others accountable for ensuring such requirements are not breached.

- Contribute to the development of the IPF project framework and advocate its use across the organisation.

- Communicate regularly regarding the status of current projects.

- Obtain guidance and approval as required to advance activities and resolve issues.

- Co-ordinate activities with in-country IT and business teams to prepare them & their users for change.

- Lead Project workshops to gain understanding of business problems and shape business requirements.

- Lead requirements definition and thinking with colleagues in other countries & functions.

- Matrix line management responsibility for partner and contract Business Analysts

- Coach and mentor colleagues developing their own expertise.

- Works in a safe, healthy and responsible manner and promotes safe methods of operation for self, colleagues and external customers.

To apply for the Senior Business Analyst role, the successful candidate will have…

- BCS Business Analysis International Diploma or similar

- experienced of leading the analysis of large-scale £multi-million transformation programmes, in a dynamic and changing environment (preferably with Financial Services).

- a proven track record of project delivery (using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies) and process improvement.

- worked in Financial Services and/or IT industry and understand how the complex product requirements can have an impact across an organisation

- implemented or worked with Microsoft Dynamics CRM

- cultural awareness, working with 3rd party partners, suppliers and stakeholders in different countries

- experience of working as product owner or proxy product owner, providing business input to IT Agile Development teams

- experience in defining business processes to deliver the best outcomes for Customers not just internal stakeholders

- significant knowledge and understanding of the practical application of Business Analysis principles.

- experience of the facilitation of workshops

- excellent communication skills, enabling you to articulate technical concepts in everyday business language and influencing towards the best outcome e.g able to both sell a high level strategic vision and articulate IT or finance details
