We like our customers to have the best. Which is why we’re always looking to improve. That way, we can stay ahead of the pack and build on our fantastic growth. As a Senior Business Analyst, you’ll be at the heart of this process. The cutting-edge, in fact. You’ll be the one assessing how we work and thinking up ways we can do it better: a Screwfix mastermind.

Our team

Our Digital Development team never stands still. Our drive to give customers the best means there’s a constant stream of varied and challenging projects. It’s a real hotbed of innovation, where agile methodologies (XP, Scrum, DSDM) are used to deliver business value. We embrace new technology, move quickly and have the courage to pioneer. What does all this mean for you? Scope, variety and the chance to join a busy and motivated team.

Your role

You look at how we are and how we could be. Then you shape solutions that help us get from one to the other. It’s a complex challenge that means analysing a range of processes and technologies, understanding business priorities and assessing the risks of change. You’ll also need to work closely with technical architects and suppliers to shape solutions. There’ll be stakeholders to think about, deadlines to meet and expectations to manage too. Not to mention plenty of organisation: you’ll be in charge of producing product definition documentation and managing work streams right up to until roll-out. Think you can handle all that? If so, we’ll give you some junior staff to mentor and lead too.

Screwfix skills

You know your way around complex change projects - the kind worth over £500k. You’ve worked on plenty before as a lead Business Analyst, ideally in a fast-moving retail business. You’ve re-engineered processes and brought in change, creating a positive impact. That means you know about Agile, Waterfall and Prince2 methodologies, as well as modelling and diagramming programmes. With talents like these plus great communication skills, you’ll have what it takes to influence stakeholders right up to Board level. Determined and confident, you take the lead and never stop thinking of ways to improve processes.

Working here

Innovative, successful and growing fast, we’re the UK’s number one supplier to the trade and provide a great service to DIY enthusiasts. We’re also part of Kingfisher plc, Europe’s leading DIY home improvement retailer with £10.8bn annual revenue and over 80,000 employees.

But what’s it really like to work here? We are proud to be able to say that we are "Leading the world in employee engagement" after being awarded the Gallup Great Place to Work Award.

Rewards

You will be rewarded with 33 days’ holiday (including bank holidays), 20% discount with Screwfix and B&Q, discounted company share save scheme, discounted healthcare with Simply Health, award-winning company pension scheme, childcare vouchers, company sick pay, long service awards, subsidised staff restaurant, bike to work scheme and free staff car parking. As well as great benefits, we also offer you great training and development opportunities.

Apply

If you share our customer first approach - we’ll have a role to suit you.

Our policy is to employ the best qualified people and provide equal opportunity for the advancement of employees including promotion and training and not to discriminate against any person because of gender, race, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, religion, belief or disability.
